PRAY, FAST, GIVE ALMS -  Lenten fasting and abstinence are all Lenten Fridays are designated as days of abstinence (no meat).  Ash Wednesday and Good Friday are days of Fasting and abstinence for those between the ages of 14 and 59 (nothing between meals, only one full meal and the other two snacks not equaling the full meal and no meat.)

 ST JOHN THE EVANGELIST CHURCH FAIR - Mark your calendars for our church fair dates Friday, April 27 thru Sunday, April 29, 2018!!!  Volunteers needed. More to come in our bulletins and on line from our Chairman, John Sanchez (225-618-3156) and Co-Chairman, Mike Tabiolo (225-290-5635).  Next festival meetings will be March 20th and April 17th at 6:30.  Reminders will be sent. 

COME TO CHURCH WITH ME FOR LENT - Christ by Candelight will be held at 7 PM on Mondays starting February 19th.  It will be an evening of candlelight worship with music, scripture, reflection, silence and veneration.  Divine Mercy Chaplet will be held at 7 PM each Tuesday during lent.  Men's Faith Sharing will be held each Thursday at 7 am for Adult Males in the Activity Center.  Lenten Reflection will be held at 7 pm on Thursdays in the Activity Center given by Matthew Kelly.  Mass and Way of the Cross on Fridays 8:30 am and 6:00 pm.  Area Lenten Penance Services are all at 6:30 pm - Thursday 3/22 St John, Prairieville.  

ACTS - The Core Mission team has been selected and installed and will have their first meeting on Tuesday, February 6th.  Next retreat dates are for Men's ACTS May 3-6 and Women's ACTS from May 31-June 3.  Please see the bulletin for registration forms.
