Lord Hear Our Prayers

Below are the Mass Intentions and Prayer Request received through the parish office and the website. Please join your prayers to those of our community as we pray for these special intentions. For your convenience some prayers are printed below.

Please Pray For:  Matthew a 23 year old with two children aged 3 & 1 who sustained a serious brain injury in a 4 wheeler accident. May God restore Matthew so that he may continue to take care of his children. May God give his family strength as they await his recovery. Ty Ericson who is sufffering from a severe bleeding ulcer. May God send him healing both mental and physical. Staci Meares a young mother who has advanced cancer. May God be with her and her family as they fight this difficult battle. Leroy Kennedy who has esophageal cancer. May God's healing hands be upon him. Mark who is sick from a Meniere’s Disease attack. This causes vertigo and extreme nausea. May God help him to return to good health quickly. Evelyn Vortisch who is in the end stage of cancer. May she be guided by the angels into God's open arms. For her family as they wait with her. Mrs. Slay who has been extremely ill. May the doctors find the cause of her illness and return her to good health. Doug Bordelon who is experiencing many complications some of the severe due to cancer and it's treatment. May God be with him to help and guide him through this difficult time. Jim Bumpurs recovery from open heart surgery. May he recover fully. Repose of the soul of Janelle Bailey Netheny and the consolation of her friends and family. PB may God grant her special intentions. Susie Spinella Holloway who has been diagnosed with cancer. May God help and heal her. Tim Bache who has been diagnosed with throat cancer. May God help and guide him and if it is His will heal him. In thanksgiving to God for favors granted to Marky. May God continue to watch over him. Repose of the soul of John Glenn Mayers and the consolation of his family. Repose of the soul of Claude Kling, Sr. and the consolation of his family. Beth Fargo, who has undergone medical testing. May she return to good health. Pat Piergalski who is experiencing dementia. May God guide and protect her. L. A., who will be undergoing hernia repair surgery. May God strengthen him before during and after the surgery and his recovery be speedy. Lelia Dupont who is in ICU following bowel surgery. May God place His healing hands upon her so that she may return home to her family soon. Aiden, a three year old whose foot was cut off in an accident. The doctors have reattached it. May God make Aiden whole again. May he help Jack, who was also involved in the accident, to forgive himself and help him to focus on the recovery of Aiden so that they all may be healed. In Thanksgiving for normal test results for Corinne Maynard. Repose of the souls of Carl Duplessis and E. Joby Arceneaux and the consolation of their families. James "JT" Smith who has pneumonia and a serious infection of the leg. May God heal him and return him to his family. Repose of the soul of Tommy Maguire  and the consolation of his family. PB who is undergoing testing that the doctors will find the root of her health problems and improve her health. Susan M and family that they will come to know God and his infinite wisdom to that they may find themselves in a better place. L family. That God grant them peace and will help them to make right decisions for their family. Betty and Ricky and loved ones. May they recover from all illness. PB and all her special intentions for others. Luke Charles Abadie and Benjamin Kilburn who were seriously injured in an automobile accident. May God return them to full health. Eric Anderson who has a malignant tumor in his small intestine. May God guide the doctors as they treat Eric, and may his family be comforted knowing that Eric's healing is in God's hands.   Melissa Savoie for full recovery from recent surgery. Sally Harp who is hospitalized with a health issue. May God help and guide the doctors as they seek to heal her. The repose of the soul of Brad Melancon  and the consolation of his family. Claude Kling who is in the hospital with renal failure. May he take comfort in knowing that God is with him in his time of need. May God give his family strength to support him during his illness. Louis Thomassie who is having hernia repair surgery. May he make a speedy recovery with no complications. Kelly Bordelon who is recovering from a motorcycle accident. May he be returned to full health quickly. May God help and guide his family as they help him through his recovery. Vanessa Blair who is having surgery. May God guide the doctor’s hands in their work and comfort Vanessa and her family as they go through this difficult time. Donna Guillot who is hospitalized with stomach issues. May God heal her and return her home to her family soon. Concordio Bungayon, who is currently underwent an 8-hour surgery in Manila, Philippines.  May God give him strength and healing. Norma who was found to have an egg sized tumor in her lungs. My God help and guide her and her family as they make decisions about treatment. Hayes family and friends who are asking for healing of various health issues. Charles Cain who has lost a lot of blood due to possible colon problems. May he gain strength so that the doctors will be able to find the source of the blood loss and help him to recover. Corinne Maynard who underwent testing last week. May the doctors find what is wrong so that she may be fully healed.   Rev. Fr. Wayne LeBleu, pastor of Christ the King Parish in Lake Charles has been badly burned and is very serious condition in the Baton Rouge Burn Center.  The doctors are still evaluating his condition.

Prayers in Time of Illness

Father, your only Son took upon himself the sufferings and weakness of the whole human race: through his passion and cross he taught us how good can be brought out of suffering. Look upon our brothers and sisters who are ill. In the midst of illness and pain, may they be united with Christ, who heals both body and soul; may they know the consolation promised to those who suffer and be fully restored to health. Lord Jesus, Healer

Lord, Jesus, healer of our souls and bodies, during your life on earth, 
you went about doing good, 
healing every manner of sickness and disease, 
strengthening, curing, comforting and consoling. 
You want nothing more than to see us healthy and happy. 
You are the enemy of death and disease, 
and in and through you they are overcome and conquered.
 Lay your healing hands upon us now, 
so that we may live in your praise untiringly. 


Prayers Near Journey's End

For the Aged

Eternal Father, unchanged down the changing years, be near to those who are aged. Even though their bodies weaken, grant that their spirit may be strong.
